£110 We adored the Peregrine 6 and much of what made them great – the razer-like claws for grip, lean weight of 293g for such a beefy outsole and speed-encouraging 4mm drop – are all still present and correct. Yet some of the major updates feel like a regression. These include gaining a noticeable extra 33g over the 6s and also the removal of the outsole’s protective rock plate. The flapping internal fabric at the base of the tongue is an easily-avoided error and rubbed us throughout on both our long and short runs, while we have longevity concerns over the upper’s construction.
