This is the newest, most-aero bike on the triathlon market right now and was designed around the Ironman World Champs in Hawaii, the biggest race on my calendar each year.

Compared to other bikes I’ve ridden this is super stiff and very fast. It handles incredibly well in cross winds, too, so I feel more in control at higher speeds compared to other bikes I’ve ridden. It’s basically just fast!

It’s also very easy to pack away and reassemble, which is really important for me as I travel a lot to race and train abroad. The disc brakes give me a lot more control and mean I can brake later into corners, while the 1.5litre bladder at the back allows me to carry more nutrition than ever before without having to use aid stations on the course. The internal storage also provides more space for gels, bars and spares, all inside the frame. [ 220 bike coach] Matt Bottrill helped me get the perfect set-up. And earlier this year I had a trip to the Specialized WIN Tunnel, in Morgan Hill, California, which confirmed we had a great aero yet functional position.
