Welcome to 2019! The start of a shiny new year means that race season is only a few short months away (hurray!). So have you set your goals yet? Whether that’s your first tri or you want to smash a PB, we’ve got your back. Turn to p89 for our 8-week beginners’ training plan, or if you’re going long, find everything you need for M-dot success on p28. It’s always worth remembering that plans may need to change, though! I’m just back from racing the Nevis Triathlon (that’s the Caribbean Nevis, not the chilly Scottish one), an impulsive winter addition to the end of a season derailed by a series of annoying, niggling ankle problems. So for me, 2019 is about working on some serious S&C (p45) to keep injury-free. Whatever your goals, go smash them and have a great year!
