10 ESSENTIAL WARM-UP

In winter, it’s especially key to carry out an effective warm-up as injuries are more common when training in the cold. Our muscles become stiffer and tighter as blood flow is restricted. The aim of warming up is to raise the body temp and increase blood flow to the muscles. This’ll allow the muscles to contract more forcefully and relax quicker, as well as reduce the chances of overstretc­hing that can lead to injury.
