COACH’S TIPS OPTIMISE YOUR RUN

WORK ON TECHNIQUE

It’s always a good time to work on technique, whatever the time of year! Try to hold a cadence as close to 180spm (strides per minute) as you can for increasing­ly longer times.

PACK SOME FUEL

This is going to be a long run/walk, so it’s important to stay wellfuelle­d and hydrated – especially if you’re heading to the hills where you won’t find many coffee shops!

DO IT TWICE

Depending on your time available and your fitness, this session (or a variation of it) can be completed again 2-3 days later for double the benefit!
