1-2-1 TRAINING DAY TIM DON
PLUS ZONE3 KIT
We couldn’t celebrate our 30th birthday without adding a very special present to the mix – and so, thanks to the team at Zone3, one reader can win an amazing moneycan’t-buy prize! Yep, we’re giving away the chance to spend a day training with triathlon icon and 220 columnist Tim Don, plus a bundle of Zone3 kit, which, combined, will give you everything you need to hit your tri goals!
THE DON
Tim Don is one of the legends of our sport. After earning short-course kudos as a three-time Olympian and four-time ITU world champion (in triathlon and duathlon), the man known as ‘The Don’ turned his attention to half-Ironman distance, which resulted in a collection of Ironman 70.3 titles, as well as an Ironman victory in his first attempt at the distance.
More recently, however, it’s his inspirational recovery from a near-fatal neck injury sustained during a training ride which has grabbed headlines. TheManIn TheHalo charted his recovery and eventual return to the Kona start line in 2o18 – and to the sport that he loves.
Tim’s also been a regular writer for this mag for many years, with his upfront, sometimes quirky, but always down-toearth advice making him a 220 favourite. Now you can experience that advice first-hand, as on 28 October 2019 one reader will join Tim for an exclusive training day. After meeting up and discussing your goals and racing, you’ll join Tim for a bike ride, swim and café stop near his home in Loughborough. You’ll also be joined by the 220 team, who will be photographing the day for a training feature in a future issue of the magazine!
KIT BUNDLE
As well as the day with Tim, his wetsuit sponsors Zone3 are adding a bundle of kit to make sure you look the part and get the most out of Tim’s advice. You’ll receive an Aspire wetsuit, swimwear including Tim Don signature goggles, jammers or swimsuit and swim cap, a set of cyclewear, including jersey and bib shorts, and to top it all off, a limitededition Zone3/ 220 Triathlon collaboration transition backpack!
