The clear, cool waters of Lake Taupō are a tempting sight for runners who battle it out in average temperatures of 21°C at Ironman New Zealand. On 7 March, conditions were ideal and saw records smashed as Brit Joe Skipper ran to victory in 7: 54:17, while Kiwi Teresa Adam triumphed with a new fastest time of 8: 40:29.
