Q. WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR IN A FEMALE SADDLE?

-

A. Research by bike-fitter Lotte Kraus suggests that while some riders are more focused on the back of the saddle, her data suggests that women’s pressure points are heavily upfront. This conflicts with the structure of many women’s saddles, which are often wider due to women’s wider hips. But, says Kraus, also look for a saddle that’s padded upfront, potentially making a TT saddle appropriate for road, too.
