MUC-OFF PRESSURE WASHER BUNDLE

£170 Supercharge your bike cleaning regime

- RS

There’s long been a debate about whether it’s safe to use a pressure washer on your bike, but Muc-Off aims to get around that by designing this specifically to be bearing and suspension friendly.

So what do you get with this bikespecific bundle? In the box you’ll find the pressure washer, a motorcycle cleaning lance, bicycle lance and adjustable lance, plus a snow foam lance that can be used with a bottle of cleaner to coat your bike in foam. The bundle also comes with two bottles of cleaner, a Bike Protect spray, cloth and a dry bag to keep it all in. Given all the extras, it feels like reasonable value, but you can also just get the pressure washer, bag, three lances and one bottle of cleaner for £129.

Assembly proved quick and straightforward, while the unit was also easy to use and move around. Water supply comes via a hose-lock fitting, so you’ll need a hosepipe to use with it, and you’ll need to plug it into a mains socket to power it. Both the power cable and hose cable between the unit and lance are five metres each, giving you plenty of slack to move around your bike.

To use the snow foam lance you simply screw it onto your bottle of cleaner, plug it into the unit and away you go. It coats the bike well, but does get through the cleaner pretty quickly so is a bit of an expensive way to do things. The bicycle lance does a fine job of washing of grime and dirt, too, while the unit itself is rated to IPX5, so it should be fine if it gets wet.

While not an essential, this is a well-thought-out bundle and it’ll certainly make the post-ride clean a little less painful. muc-off.com
