THE PERSPECTIVE NODE
One of the biggest challenges of this project is to fake volume efficiently and quickly. the perspective node, in that case, can save you a lot of time. it’s basically a chain of nonuniform blur with an invert of the selection in the secondary input. that way, the form is not just deformed but pushed outside of itself.
using a chain of this setup helps to fake an extrude or perspective effect on a shape quickly with less artefacts than one strong nonuniform blur. Depending on your needs, you can also add extra features on it like symmetry or blur and expose those parameters to win more time.
