Kas­son­dra Krahn on cre­at­ing plant ma­te­ri­als for her en­vi­ron­ment

Plant ma­te­ri­als A ma­jor fo­cus for this for­est scene was the cre­ation of the plant ma­te­ri­als. To achieve this I sculpted dif­fer­ent vari­a­tions of fo­liage within Zbrush, hand-painted them us­ing Poly­paint, baked out the maps, and fi­nally fin­ished them in Pho­to­shop and/or Sub­stance De­signer. After this I ap­plied them to planes with bend mod­i­fiers in 3ds Max.
