I tend to ex­ag­ger­ate the sur­face de­tails since the subsurface scat­ter­ing shader will smooth them down later on in the ren­ders. Also, be care­ful, too much im­per­fec­tion will make your frog look like a toad. It is very use­ful to use Zbrush lay­ers to con­trol the ef­fect for ev­ery layer. Mak­ing your own al­phas will give you more con­trol and free­dom to sculpt other de­tails.
