SUBSTANCE DESIGNER FALL UPDATE
THE THIRD SUBSTANCE DESIGNER UPDATE OF 2018 INCLUDES A HOST OF NEW FEATURES FOR DESIGNERS
Allegorithmic’s fall 2018 update to Substance Designer offers a host of new features and updates designed with help from the Substance community. UX bottlenecks have been smoothed out, creating a more responsive workflow.
A new PBR rendering node has also been added, increasing photorealism in a single map.
Feedback from the community helped Allegorithmic to make a number of workflow improvements. This includes the ability to access the Node List through tab or spacebar.
What’s more is after users select a node all connected parent nodes can also be revealed and highlighted.
Allegorithmic founder and CEO Sebastien Deguy adds, “As we continue to add new features and improvements to Substance Designer, we rely more and more on our community to help us identify the areas that are costing designers time, with their help, we’ve made some changes that will improve their overall workflow, and in the process, we also managed to prepare Substance Designer for the future.”
The new update is available now at no cost to current subscribers, a full list of updates can be found at allegorithmic.com/blog.
