HRE S1SC TWO-PIECE FORGED WHEELS

HRE’S new Forged Monoblok Rim (FMR) barrels make their debut on the S1SC. Providing aggressive styling similar to HRE’S Monoblok P1SC and employing multiple technical design features for increased stiffness and reduced mass, they accompany exciting new spoke details, including intersection points and fastener flange surfacing. Following the modular styling of a traditional three-piece split rim, the S1SC’S new, Tuv-approved, two-piece design improves performance and quality across every metric and kickstarts HRE’S plan to roll out FMR barrels across much of its range. For product launch, four different styles are available: a mesh wheel, V-spoke, split five-spokes and Y-spoke ‘teledial’ sure to please Porsche owners wanting a modern wheel with a classic twist. 20-inch and 21-inch rims can be ordered, with additional diameters on the way.

DO88 997 TURBO AND GT2 INTERCOOLER KIT

Fresh from the manufacturing line of automotive heat management specialist, DO88, comes this upgrade intercooler kit for the first-generation 997 Turbo and its GT2 stablemate. Most kits of this kind tend to focus on the retrofitting of 997 Gen II Turbo intercoolers, but the team at DO88 has developed a new application-specific intercooler core and an accompanying custom upper ambient air guide. Both were designed in a 3D-scanning environment to ensure perfect fit, finish and the best airflow distribution across the intercooler cores, which are accompanied by end tanks with 70mm connections and bespoke silicone hoses, each CFD tested to ensure optimised flow rate throughout the system and capable of withstanding up to 240°C of continuous intake temperature. Accurate and consistent test data demonstrates sprints from 31mph to 155mph cut by three seconds when compared to the same exercise with the OEM intercooler and Y-pipe in place, and that’s without an ECU remap or an adaptation reset.
