Winner of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) 2021 award for best new wheel, Blackstone TEK (BST)’S GT TEK hollow-spoke centre-nut wheels for the 991 GT2 RS, 991 GT3, 991 GT3 RS and 992 GT3 are manufactured using carbon-fibre pre-impregnated with epoxy resin and include a combination of four variations of weave and modulus of fibre. These materials are accurately and precisely hand-placed in the desired position and orientation during the manufacturing process in order to ensure optimal structure.
Following the layup of fibre plies, the wheels are cured in a pressure and temperature-controlled environment, ensuring the consolidation of all layers, resulting in an extremely rigid monocoque structure.

BST’S GT TEK is the world’s first ultra-light wheel for supercars, tipping scales at an astonishing 5.885kg at the front and 7.750kg at the rear. This is significantly lighter than the Porsche Weissach BBS magnesium wheel (9.5kg at the rear) and the Porsche GT centre-lock aluminium wheel (13kg).
