AT ONE WITH NATURE
Meet the brand rethinking plant nutrition with Empathy Rootgrow, the ultimate biofertiliser
You’ve potted, pruned and watered, but it’s sometimes easy to forget that plants need more than water to thrive. Kept well-supplied with the nutrients present in the right fertiliser, the plants in your garden will have every chance to flourish, as well as withstand attacks from pests and disease.
Already recommended by garden centres and tree suppliers across the
UK, Rootgrow™ mycorrhizal fungi is the ultimate biofertiliser. Not only can it be used all year round, but also just one application of this clever fungi is all that’s needed to provide a lifetime of benefits to plants, shrubs, trees, and even vegetables. The natural formula is one of the most cost-e ective plant support products available, thanks to its ability to increase nutrient and water uptake by forming a highly e cient secondary root system.
What is biofertiliser?
Biofertiliser is used to define a product that contains living micro-organisms which, when applied to seeds, plant surfaces or soil, colonise the rhizosphere to improve Nutrient Use E ciency (NUE – a plant’s ability to uptake and utilise nutrients), plant health and growth – and marks a whole new way to improve and deliver plant nutrition.
The ingredients within biofertiliser have been carefully selected to give plants the nutrients they need while encouraging the development of the mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial soil bacteria. Seaweed extract and amino acid-based biostimulants supply plant growth hormones, while alfalfa provides a natural source of plant-derived nitrogen for healthy foliage. Sulphate of potash, a naturally occurring mineral form of potassium, encourages strong budding and flowering. These products are organic, free from peat and animal derivatives, and the microbes inside will improve compost performance, making this perfect for use with peatfree compost.
For many years, the team behind Rootgrow™ has been educating gardeners about the value of mycorrhizal fungi. More recently it has introduced beneficial soil bacteria into its granular feed ranges, adopted from further extensive research into increasing NUE in plants for farming and in food production.
At a time when gardeners are moving away from traditional chemical feeds and seeking out alternatives for e ective plant nutrition, that’s where PlantWorks’ Empathy range comes in. It’s the perfect solution to replace the chemically manufactured fertilisers currently on our garden-centre shelves.
