Ac­cring­ton man, 51, is found dead af­ter car fire

A MAN who died af­ter be­ing found in a burn­ing car ear­lier this month has been iden­ti­fied as a 51-yearold from Ac­cring­ton.

The body of Ian Tay­lor­son was found in the early hours of the morn­ing in Penistone Hill Coun­try Park, near Ha­worth, in West York­shire, on Mon­day, October 9.

Passers-by dis­cov­ered Mr Tay­lor­son’s car which was still ablaze and re­ported it to West York­shire Po­lice who were called to the scene.

Po­lice said the cir­cum­stances of his death are not be­lieved to have been sus­pi­cious.

A spokesper­son for West York­shire Po­lice said: “We were called at 7.28am to re­ports of a burn­ing car in Penistone Hill Coun­try park, on Mon­day, October 9 by mem­bers of the pub­lic.

“Fire ser­vices were called to the scene and the in­ci­dent is not be­ing treated as sus­pi­cious. There will be an in­quest and the cir­cum­stances will be ex­am­ined.”

Brad­ford Coro­ner’s Court said an in­quest into Mr Tay­lor­son’s death was opened on October 20 and has been ad­journed pend­ing fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
