MRS Audrey Smith, of Wessex Close, Huncoat, passed away on Monday, January 8, aged 67.

She had worked as a sewing machinist for all of her life, retiring from Hamilton McBrides, Haslingden, before being a housewife for the past 20 years.

She loved a good book and enjoyed doing puzzles especially wordsearch­es. Audrey loved holidaying in Lanzarote and enjoyed visiting Cornwall and Torquay for months at a time with her husband Jesse in their touring caravan.

The much-loved wife of Jesse, devoted mum of Heidi, Stacey and the late Dean Barry Rogers, sister of Kathleen, sister-in-law of Stuart, much-loved nanna of Abby, Bethany and Kian. She was the dear auntie of Ian and Diane, Karen and Rachel, mother-in-law of John and Ashley. She also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Alwyn.

A funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday, January 26, at Accrington Crematoriu­m, administer­ed by Rev. Gerald Higham, followed by burial at Accrington Cemetery.

A special thanks to Liverpool Heart and Chest ICU Department for all their care and support that Audrey received whilst in their care.

The family request flowers only please, and to wear a splash of colour as per mum’s wishes.
