Companies invited to take part in charity challenge

-

EAST Lancashire Hospice is seeking companies to go head-to-head in this year’s Corporate Challenge and prove they have what it takes to make a difference to their community.

The search is on for businesses from Hyndburn – as well as Blackburn, Darwen and the Ribble Valley – who can prove their team spirit by raising valuable funds for East Lancashire Hospice.

Each participating company will be given £50 to turn into as much as they can in a six-month period – thanks to Organic Insurance, who will once again be the headline sponsor of the challenge.

Last year’s inaugural event raised £34,000 and was won by Alan Price Automobile Services.

Speaking at last year’s awards evening, Corporate Challenge, winner Alan Price said: “The team have had great fun doing it and met some fabulous people.

“We have involved customers and suppliers and it has been a very heartwarming experience.”

Fundraising suggestions include dress down days, bake sales, raffles, gala evenings or even bag packing.

Each of the companies that sign up will have a blog written and receive ongoing publicity via the hospice’s social media, website, and press coverage.

They will also be invited to a launch breakfast event, and the totals will be revealed on a leaderboard each month.

Visit www.eastlancs hospice.org.uk or email jennifer.quinn@ eastlancshospice.org. uk to enter, or ring the fundraising team on 01254 287012.
