WOULD you like to be involved in the development of the amazing Haworth Art Gallery?

We are currently looking to expand our volunteer base and would be happy to hear from anyone who would like to join our team.

The Haworth Art Gallery volunteers welcome visitors to the gallery when they arrive, help out with the shop and assist with weddings and events. There are also opportunities to help with exhibition changeovers, taking down and hanging pictures, behind-the-scenes documentation and assisting with workshops. No two days are the same at Haworth Art Gallery and there are always new events on the horizon! All volunteers receive in-depth training and shadow experienced staff to expand their skills.

We also have the Haworth Artist Network. The network is free to join and is open to any artist, both amateur and professional. It is a great way to make like-minded friends and get involved in the development of the Haworth Art Gallery programme of exhibitions and events. The network meets on the first Sunday of the month at 12.30pm and is informal, fun and friendly and everyone is welcome. The first meeting for 2018 will take place on Sunday, February 4, where we will be discussing plans for the network summer exhibition.

In addition, we also have a Friends of Haworth group. Friends of Haworth Accrington is a new group of enthusiastic people supporting the Haworth.

They wish to promote the cultural heritage of the house, park, art gallery and the Tiffany collection. They have only recently set up, so if you would like to help, please contact them via haworth accrington@gmail.com.

If you would like to get involved with this amazing gallery and have a few afternoon hours to spare during the week or at weekends, please give us a call on 01254 233782.

The gallery is open from noon to 4.45pm Tuesday to Friday and noon to 4.15pm Saturday, Sunday, free entrance and parking. The Gallery Kitchen will also be open serving light lunches and afternoon tea, as well as drinks. Contact the Gallery Kitchen direct on 01254 491660 to book a table.
