Machaj makes return to the ring

BOXER Adam Machaj is scheduled to make his return to the ring when he competes on a bill taking place in Blackburn on March 3.
The Oswaldtwistle heavyweight is set for his first bout in 10 months when he fights on the card at Audley Sports and Community Centre.
Machaj has a record of nine wins and two defeats, and picked up a second round stoppage win against Tom Dallas during his last fight back in May 2017.
He was also recently a contestant on the latest series of the Channel 4 television show SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Machaj isn’t the only local boxer due to compete on the bill, as Darwen welterweight AJ Faizy is also scheduled to be in action.
Faizy has a record of seven wins, two losses and one draw, and heads into the fight folloiwng a six round points win against Innocent Anyanwu at the same venue in December.
That was his first fight in over two years, with his previous contest taking place in October 2015 when he unsuccessfully challenged Johnny Coyle for the WBC Youth Intercontinental light-welterweight title.
A number of other boxers are also set to fight at the event in Blackburn, including Shakeeb Ali, Alex McCloy, Mohammad Rashad, Omar Dusary and Ashley Doveston.
