A neighbour said: “There was a massive bang after two gusts of wind and torrential rain.
“Thank God no event was on at the time. The massive triangle of stone work fell at the front into the car park. The road is closed with wire fencing.”
Al Hamza posted on their Facebook page: “For all our lovely concerned friends, family and, of course, our customers - bad weather has caused some damage to our beautiful building but Allahumdulillah nobody was hurt.
“Will be back to business in no time in sha Allah. Keep us all in your prayers please. Just bad weather. Stay safe all.”
The road was reopened on Friday, September 21.
A Hyndburn council spokesperson said: “Officers from the council are working with the owner to ensure that the building is made safe.”
