Julie steers charity cash to a good cause
FORMER Coronation Street actress Julie Hesmondhalgh has presented a cheque for £1,664 to Hyndburn charity Maundy Relief.
The money was raised at the Accrington Soapbox Challenge in September with half coming from organisers Scott Dawson Advertising and the other half from sponsors Emerson and Renwick.
Ben Clements, managing director of Emerson and Renwick, said: “We chose Maundy Relief because it’s a local, worthwhile charity.”
