Top prize for In­dian restau­rant

A HYN­D­BURN In­dian restau­rant is cel­e­brat­ing af­ter be­ing crowned the best in Lan­cashire.

The White­croft In­dian Restau­rant, based at Moss Hall Farm, Oswaldtwistle, scooped the award in the Curry Life Awards in Lon­don.

The an­nual awards show­case the very best of the best the curry in­dus­try has to of­fer, re­ward­ing those who strive to­wards pro­vid­ing a unique ex­pe­ri­ence, with ex­cel­lent food, ser­vice and am­bi­ence.

The event was at­tended by more than 700 peo­ple and hosted by broad­caster Jon Snow.

De­lighted Rahibur Rah­man Chowd­hury, who runs the White­croft In­dian Restau­rant, said: “It’s a great hon­our to be recog­nised and I would like to thank my team for their hard work and our cus­tomers who’ve in­spired us to keep im­prov­ing and ex­per­i­ment­ing.

“Reg­u­lars at the restau­rant are of­ten used to test out new dishes with their opin­ion help­ing fine-tune new cre­ations.”

At this year’s cer­e­mony the ko­rma was crowned king of the cur­ries for din­ers. It was named by al­most a quar­ter of restau­rants as their big­gest seller, with jal­frezi fin­ish­ing sec­ond.
