Top prize for Indian restaurant
A HYNDBURN Indian restaurant is celebrating after being crowned the best in Lancashire.
The Whitecroft Indian Restaurant, based at Moss Hall Farm, Oswaldtwistle, scooped the award in the Curry Life Awards in London.
The annual awards showcase the very best of the best the curry industry has to offer, rewarding those who strive towards providing a unique experience, with excellent food, service and ambience.
The event was attended by more than 700 people and hosted by broadcaster Jon Snow.
Delighted Rahibur Rahman Chowdhury, who runs the Whitecroft Indian Restaurant, said: “It’s a great honour to be recognised and I would like to thank my team for their hard work and our customers who’ve inspired us to keep improving and experimenting.
“Regulars at the restaurant are often used to test out new dishes with their opinion helping fine-tune new creations.”
At this year’s ceremony the korma was crowned king of the curries for diners. It was named by almost a quarter of restaurants as their biggest seller, with jalfrezi finishing second.
