A 24-HOUR gym has opened in Accrington.

Jetts has started welcoming new members to its health and fitness club at The Viaduct in the town centre.

The facilities include a large free weights area, dedicated spin studio, group training sessions, personal training and a wide range of cardio equipment.

Tim Cheng, manager of Jetts Accrington, said they will welcome local celebrities and dignitaries to a grand opening on the weekend of November 10.

He said: “We have only been open about two weeks and it’s gone really well. There is a great community vibe and there’s no egos.

“We have about 500 members so far and once we get to 1,000 that will be it. We don’t want it to be too busy. We have got about 20 different 30-minute taster classes taking place over the next few weeks for people to try. It’s great to have a worldwide chain coming into Accrington and hopefully it will bring more people and customers to the area. It’s a great location with lots of free parking.”

The Australia chain gym is located in the former bowling alley and employs seven staff.
