Re­mem­brance marked with her­itage and art

A RE­MEM­BRANCE Ser­vice and art ex­hi­bi­tion will be held at Gatty Park in Ac­cring­ton.

Com­mu­nity So­lu­tions, based at Elm­field Hall, will wel­come res­i­dents for the ser­vice at 11am on Sun­day, Novem­ber 11.

There will be art her­itage pre­sen­ta­tions through­out the morn­ing where the Lo­cal Colour group will show im­ages of Elm­field Hall dur­ing the war as a mil­i­tary hos­pi­tal.

The group will also share in­for­ma­tion about the names on the Roll of Hon­our and dis­play tex­tile work in­spired by the First World War con­nec­tions to the site.

There will also be a dis­play of ‘There But Not There’ sol­dier sil­hou­ettes, sup­plied through The Armed Forces Covenant Trust.
