MR Peter Mon­aghan, of Harcourt Road, Ac­cring­ton, died on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 21, age 76.

He worked as a Progress Chaser at Lucas Aero­space from where he re­tired.

Dur­ing the 1960s Peter was as sprinter and a mem­ber of Bury and Rad­cliffe Ath­letic Club. His life­long hobby was an­gling, which he later com­bined with bird watch­ing.

The dearly beloved hus­band of Elaine he was a much-loved brother to Ge­orge, Stephen and Jan­ice and a very dear brother-in-law and un­cle.

A fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 1pm on Mon­day, Novem­ber 12, at Ac­cring­ton Cre­ma­to­rium ad­min­is­tered by Philip Nor­ris.
