Three are cut free after crash
THREE people had to be cut free from a car after a head-on collision with a HGV.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Elton Road in Belthorn at the junction of Jackson Heights Road and Grane Road, near to the Grey Mare Inn.
Four fire engines from Chorley, Bamber Bridge, Nelson and Blackburn were called to the scene at around 4.15pm on Thursday, November 29.
Cutting equipment was used to release the female driver and two passengers
Police said all three were taken to hospital with ‘minor injuries’.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The incident was a head on collision between a HGV and a vehicle with multiple persons trapped.
“Fire crews used holmatro cutters and spreaders to release the casualties.
“Police and ambulance were in attendance and fire crews were in attendance for one hour and forty five minutes.”
