CAROL BURTON

Accrington Observer - - OBITUARIES -

CAROL Burton, of Lion Street, Church, Accrington, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 4, aged 74.

All through her life Carol was a hard worker and has had various jobs including as a pub landlady, a catering assistant, as a retailer on Accrington Market and for the last 14 years as a passenger assistant.

In her spare time she loved socialising and meeting her friends, especially at the Huncoat Ladies Club, but without a doubt her favourite pastime was spending time with her loving family. She was also a member of St James Church at Church Kirk.

Carol sadly leaves her dearly loved children Paula and Geoff, her dear son-in-law Russ, her treasured grandson Paul and his partner Katie, and her many dear friends. She will be very sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Her funeral service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, December 11 at Accrington Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, but donations are welcome in memory of Carol for Macmillan Cancer Support, c/o Barton & Hallworth Funeral Service, The Old Foxhill, 136-8 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
