We’re now three wins away from a place at Wembley which in any other circumstance might be exciting.
However, we could still face the youth teams of Newcastle, Chelsea and Man City in our historic first trip to the home of football. I can just see it now: ‘Grandad, tell me about the first trip to Wembley all those years ago.’ I sit back and let out a deep sigh… ‘Well, Grandson. We got dismantled by a young Slovenian prodigy playing for Chelsea U21s in front of an all-time low crowd. It was a great day.’
Unfortunately, the team needs to get their heads screwed on, and pretty sharpish. Saturday brings with it the big one.
