Management pairing have done just grand

Accrington Observer - - SPORT -

STANLEY forward Billy Kee has congratulated John Coleman and Jimmy Bell after the Accrington Stanley managerial duo made it 1,000 games in charge together.

Coleman and Bell reached the accolade on Saturday, when the team picked up a 3-1 victory over Cheltenham Town in the second round of the FA Cup.

Kee has been involved for a lot of those games, and he thinks they deserve a lot of credit for making it to the milestone.

“It’s an amazing achievement for two lads from Kirkby to chalk up 1,000 games as a management team. They have come all the way through the lower leagues into League One and deserve a lot of credit for that,” he told the club’s official website.

“They have always been brilliant to me and they do get on well together. I did read that they joked they were lucky to not have ripped each other’s heads off but they are passionate about their football and hate losing. They really hate losing.

“They have kept their partnership going and now have John Doolan as a recent addition and they all work well together and have got the success they deserve with Accrington.”
