Pub locals pull in £3k with charity walk
A CLOSE group of friends and locals from The Railway pub in Huncoat raised £3,360.50 for charity.
They took part in a canal walk in aid of East Lancashire Hospice.
Catherine Leech, hospice community fundraiser, said: “The people who took part in the very successful canal walk and donated are very generous. Not only did they raise an amazing amount, they raised awareness of the services the hospice provides.
“Here at the hospice we are very fortunate to have the local community supporting us. Thank you to all.”
