A BIBLE class celebrating its eighth birthday features in Looking Back this week.

Around 35 children from Baxenden St John’s Pathfinders marked the anniversary with a party in the church hall in 1977.

Great Harwood Wellington football team beat Leyland Athletic to reach the final of the LFA Amateur Shield.

Held in front of one of their biggest crowds of the season, the team won 3-2 thanks to a brace from John Flynn and one from Dave Crump (pictured bottom right).
