Flat fire investigation

AN investigation has been launched after a flat fire in Oswaldtwistle.

Firefighters from Hyndburn were called to Commercial Street at 1.15pm on Tuesday, December 18.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire involved the bedroom in a first floor flat and crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.”
