Photos can help tell Crown Ground story in new book
AN Accrington Stanley historian is appealing for fans’ help as he writes his latest book.
Darren Woodhead is searching for photos and memorabilia from the 1970s for his new book ‘Accrington Stanley 50 Years at the Crown Ground’.
Darren, from Baxenden, has released two previous books about the Reds in 2002 and 2006 and also started the Accrington Stanley Memories Facebook group.
He said: “The book is not out until Spring 2019 but I’m looking for photographs from the first 10 years of the new Accrington Stanley.
“In addition, there is also an opportunity to subscribe to the book and have your name printed inside at no extra cost. I have got around 100 people who have subscribed to the book so far.
“This is the third book I have done and the last one had 1,200 people on there.”
