‘Jack and Krac’ Rev off to pastures new
A CHURCH leader is leaving after nearly four years to take up a new post.
Rev Chris Krawiec has served as curate at St Bartholomew’s in Great Harwood since 2015 and will next month be appointed Rector of Holy Trinity Poulton-le-Sands with St Laurence of Morecambe.
The dad-of-two, who is also known for his comedy double act ‘Jack and Krac’ on YouTube, said he has loved his time in Great Harwood and it is ‘bittersweet’ to be leaving.
He said: “I have reached the end of my training. I have got the pips and I’m ready to fly as they say.
“The new place was recommended to me by the bishop and I went and had a look around with my wife and two kids and we all loved it.
“We have very much loved being here in Great Harwood and we have really settled here, made some really good friends and put down roots.
“It’s bittersweet. It’s sweet because we are moving onto a new challenge and parish and all the excitement it brings but it’s sad to be leaving a place we have called home and it really has been a home.” Rev Chris said some of the ‘big highlights’ have been the Crossroads festival, roaming nativities and working with local people.
