Sorting out loan deals top priority

-

ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman is hoping to find resolutions soon regarding the loan players he currently has at the club.

With the January transfer window now open, Coleman is looking to bolster his squad.

The start of the month has seen some of the loan deals he has for players come to an end though, with striker Connor Hall (Bolton), midfielder Dan Barlaser (Newcastle) and defenders Michael Iheikwe (Rotherham) and Nick Anderton (Blackpool) all having contracts that ran until the start of January.

Goalkeeper Connor Ripley (Middlesbrough), forward Luke Charman (Newcastle) and defender Matty Platt (Blackburn) have deals until the end of the season but there is the possibility of a recall in January in their contracts.

“We are trying to keep them all but I don’t think we will be successful. We are also looking at other options,” he said.

“Matty Platt and Luke Charman have been victims of circumstance as you can only have five loan players in a matchday squad and they have been unlucky with game-time. Connor Hall made his first start against Shrewsbury and he acquitted himself well, made some intelligent runs and his link up play was good. We are just waiting really.”
