Plenty of green-fingered fun

PRODUCE grown at a school eco-classroom is being donated to a local foodbank.

The room opened at St Mary’s RC Primary School in Clayton-leMoors earlier this year to raise awareness of plastic pollution and included an ecofriendly vegetable patch.

Deborah Marie Schofield, school business support officer, said: “Since the opening of the eco-classroom the children have grown some amazing produce including lettuce, spinach, strawberries and broad beans so far. All the food the children produce is being donated to the local foodbank.”
