MORE than 2,000 people enjoyed the fourth summer fair of local charity Community Solutions.

Local musician Dan Pinder entertained the Gatty Park crowd throughout the day, with an acoustic set, with performances from Dance Nation, New Era Choir and Energize Dance, making the most of the Accrington sunshine.

There were fairground rides, a bagpiper, inflatables, games and craft and food stalls. The event took place in front of the backdrop of Elmfield Hall, with visitors enjoying the newly refurbished tearoom Mr Gatty’s.

The Cardboard Box Company produced a stunning model of Elmfield Hall for people to take photographs inside, numerous others donated prizes and gifts and The Media Village produced all of the event signage.

Woodcocks, Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors were charity patrons.

CEO Deborah Clark said thanked the many local businesses and individuals who made the day happen.

She said: “We have always wanted to keep the event free and this isn’t possible without the generosity of local people. We received a grant from One Stop Community, to cover some of the costs.”

The organisation’s primary fundraiser of the year, all proceeds from the summer fair support the work of Community Solutions within the local area.

The money raised this year will primarily support those in the community who are lonely or socially isolated.

If you would like to find out more about how you can support next year’s event as a sponsor or individual, please contact Community Solutions.
