WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page this week:

● NEW trendy cocktail bar and restaurant Tiger Lounge Accrington opens its doors (November 29)

Joanna Donovan:

Thank you to this family for investing in this business. I will definitely be coming in and I think you’re gonna do fab. The menu looks lovely.

Matt Green: Looks great. It’s turning into a nice little bit of town with Grants, Arden, the micro brewery on Water Street and now this. Mike Dickinson: This pub has been in need of genuine investment for a long time. You’ve done a great refurbishment. Wishing you all the best for the future.

Joanne Boyes: Food and drinks are delicious.

Well worth a visit. Friendly hard working staff, and a warm environment.

Paul Hewison: Congratulations and well done to turn a run down pub into a great looking place to visit. If it’s as popular as the one in Rawtenstsall it will be a great success!

● LITTER company bosses and council hit back after hundreds sign petition (November 29):

Lydia Maguire: Perhaps if more bins and ashtrays were provided around the town there wouldn’t be a need to litter. But then you would have to pay someone to empty them. David Singleton: If you don’t drop litter, you won’t get caught and wouldn’t need to deal with this firm. I support the fact that the council is not using taxpayers money to prevent people from dropping litter.

Dawn ORourke: I hope they extend their powers to fine people for spitting. Don’t throw your rubbish on the floor, don’t get fined. It’s not hard.

Martin Kerry: How about all the people complaining volunteer to do it for free and give all the fines to charity? David Swindells: For me it’s time to report car owners if they throw litter out of their car. People can take pictures of them doing it on there mobile phone. Send it to the police and get a small reward.

● YOUGOV poll predicts Hyndburn turning Tory in huge general election swing (page 10)

Michael Ince: I’ve voted labour for the last 50 years but I’ll never vote Labour again. I never thought I’d have to vote for another party.

Benji Marshall: I don’t believe the polls, however the amount of people openly admitting to voting Tory is worrying. Does anyone really believe the Tories are going to improve the country after they’ve spent the best part of 10 years cutting ALL public services? I don’t understand how anyone with a conscience could vote Tory.

Aaron Berswick: How can people still vote for Brexit!! Do you guys who vote to leave even know what’s going to happen if we do leave!!! Wow, so ignorant. It’s unbelievable. Be ready to pay for your NHS services as the NHS will be first thing to be sold and medicine prices will be out of the roof.

Liz Barnes: It’s past the time for a change in Hyndburn. We voted overwhelmingly out in the referendum and have been ignored by Labour. Let’s get Brexit done!

Callum James: Same polls that said Hillary and Remain and also said Labour would face annihilation last time.

I’ll not be asking YouGov for the lottery numbers just yet. The Brexit Party will take some of Graham’s vote but I think it’ll balance out with them taking Tory votes as well.

Davina Gregson: Graham Jones has been a good local MP who has worked hard for his constituency. He has a proven track record.

He has actually never voted against Brexit, only against a form of Brexit that will economically damage this area.

He was elected in 2017 on the back of a Labour Party manifesto that said that. This a prediction based on a YouGov poll that uses data collected from YouGov panel members and then uses typical voter behaviour to predict a result.

I never believed that we were a town full of lemmings. However, according to these comments, lemmings we are and over the cliff we go.
