Have your say on future of phone box
THE public are invited to have their say about the future of a payphone kiosk on Pickup Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
BT are proposing to remove the payphone as demand for it has fallen and they are currently carrying out a 90-day consultation, which ends on September 27.
BT say it is a great opportunity for local communities to ‘adopt’ their red phone box for just £1 and make it an asset for everyone to enjoy, with people across the country using them for everything from defibrillators to foodbanks.
Email planning@ hyndburnbc.gov.uk and state that it refers to the public payphone on Pickup Street, Clayton-leMoors.
If you object please state why you want it to be kept.
If you want the kiosk to be adopted for some other use, please make it clear what use you propose and provide contact details so that BT can contact you to arrange the adoption.
