CLUB NEWS NORTH EAST LANCASHIRE COACH RAMBLERS

-

NORTH East Lancashire Coach Ramblers provide people with an opportunity to leave the car at home and experience some very different walks in fantastic areas around Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, the Lake District, North Wales, North Yorkshire or the Yorkshire Dales.

We offer three guided walks that range from about five to ten miles and occasionally a more difficult walk of 12 miles. They range from easy to strenuous and all walks are led by experienced leaders.

On our walks we try to capture the beauty, views and highlights of an area to make the trips enjoyable for all levels of walkers. There is always enough time to complete the walks comfortably and usually there is time to explore the town and local tourist attractions.

For people new to walking or those that prefer a stroll Coach Rambles try to select towns with shorter walks such as, woodland, river and historic trails and where visitors can enjoy the town during the day and of course purchase refreshments. Experienced ramblers can book on the coaches and do their own self-guided walks as long as they provide a map or written details of their route.

So, where are we going in 2021? September - Llandudno, October - Arnside/ Silverdale, November - Pateley Bridge and in December we will enjoy Knaresborough when the Festive Market and fireworks display takes place. We have pickup points across East Lancashire. We can also take bookings for small groups from local walking groups, clubs, churches etc who would like to join us.

Anyone who would like more information, details of pickup point or to book can contact Christine Tormey on 01254 236068 on Monday to Sunday from 9am to 9pm. The current cost of £15 per coach ramble is great value. From September 5, people will be able to book online.
