ROBERT CLARK

-

ROBERT Clark, of Laburnum Drive, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully in hospital, on Friday, August 20, aged 77.

Throughout his life Bob, as he was known, was a hard worker and worked as a HGV driver and then became a HGV/PSV instructor.

In the mid 80s he took over the North Lancs Training School, where he taught many pupils how to drive, as well as learn the rules of the road. He then continued to train pupils to drive cars right up until his recent death.

Bob was a keen dart and snooker player and greatly enjoyed travelling around the country for tournaments with his son, Jonny.

He also played at his local, the Ossy Social Club where he was a member.

He was also a member of the Accrington Lions for a time, during the 80s and 90s. Bob also played the guitar and had a love for 60s music.

He also enjoyed going away on holiday and many special memories have been made on various adventures including trips to America, as well as the Norfolk Broads and Saltburn.

Bob was a much loved dad of Jonny and Jennifer and also a treasured grandad of Eva, Harrison, Erinn and Finley.

He will be very sadly missed by all those who knew him, especially his loving family and his friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11.40am, on Tuesday, August 31, at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please, however donations are welcomed in memory of Bob for the East Lancashire Hospice, and may be made by phone, by post, or by envelope drop off at the funeral home.
