HAROLD FEELEY

-

ON Wednesday, February 2, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family, Harold, aged 78, of Accrington.

A loving and much loved brother, uncle and true friend. Harold will be sorely missed by all.

Harold began his working life in the mills and then worked on building sites. He spent several years working in Jersey, and a highlight of his life was working on Jack Walker’s house there and, with Harold being a huge Burnley fan, when Jack brought a tray of beer out for the lads he always joked that he wasn’t giving one to ‘that Burnley fan’

Harold returned to Accrington to care for his mum during her illness, and then joined his brother Colin working at Calderstones Hospital as an Auxiliary.

Ever caring with a big heart, Harold was filled with sunshine and he loved people. He was charismatic with a lovely smile and a twinkle in his eye. He loved his food and socialising, but most of all he loved his visits to the bookies, often placing a lucky bet. In his earlier years he enjoyed going to York Races and Newmarket. Then, following his retirement, Harold enjoyed going to Bury shopping with his sister Marianne.

Family times were always precious and Harold will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends. R.I.P.

The service and cremation were held at Accrington Crematorium on Tuesday, February 15.

Donations in memory of Harold are being gratefully received on behalf of Derian House Children’s Hospice via www.champfunerals.com/obituaries or c/o funeral director Champ Funeral Service, Claytonle-Moors.
