MICHAEL SALMON

-

ON Saturday, March 26, peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side, Mr Michael Alec Salmon ‘Mick’, aged 52.

“He fought a long brave battle against cancer.”

The very much-loved husband of Debbie, loved dad of Anthony and Jason, dearly loved son of Ann and the late Rex, stepson of Eddie, beloved brother to Janet, Julie and the late David and Susan, beloved brother-in-law to Brian, Dave, Mark and Kerry, dearly loved son-in-law to Madelene and the late Michael, Roy and Janet, cherished uncle to Rebecca, Adam, Erin, Conor and Sophia, and cherished great-uncle to Alfie.

He was a self-employed joiner after finishing his apprenticeship with Riley’s of Oswaldtwistle.

Michael loved going to see live bands and loved his music, especially The Jam and ELO.

He loved meals out with family and friends, going for walks with Sambo, his beloved springer spaniel, and holidays away to the Lakes and Yorkshire.

He also loved snooker and his beloved Liverpool team he supported.

Mick will be very much missed and leaves a massive hole in our lives and hearts.

He was loved by every one of his family and friends, and people who knew him.

I would like to thank Palliative Care and

District Nurses Accrington for taking care of Michael, and also Peel House Medical Centre.

I would like to also thank Darren at Oswaldtwistle Funeral Service and thank you to Fr. D. Arnold for his words and prayers.

The funeral service was due to be held in Immanuel Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle on Thursday, April 7 at 12noon, prior to interment in the churchyard.

Family flowers only, and donations made to Primrose Suite Chemotherapy Unit, Burnley General Hospital, or via the funeral director Oswaldtwistle Funeral Services, 235 Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.
