WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

●● ANGER as fly-tippers strike (April 8):

Chris Brown: I have never dropped any litter once, always used a bin. Robert Howarth: Just a normal day in grotty Acc.

●● MANCHESTER Airport carnage sees passengers jump barriers and abandon luggage (April 4):

Brenda Ashworth:

Hope it’s better next week.

Vicky Jackson: T2 was busy but nothing like it’s been showing on media Tim Baxter: It’s only t1 like that. Will be sorted in next few weeks

Janet Cosgrove: We go to Turkey in June but we are flying from Leeds/ Bradford. Hope it’s all sorted by then

Joanne Poulton Gall: OMG Vicky Gregson dreading June. You know what me and airports are like

Emma Haworth: I’ve been this morning. Wasn’t as bad as I expected but took me an hour to check in and then an hour through security.

Nicola Birtwistle: I was there on Friday and it wasn’t like that at terminal 2

Ros Jones: We arrived at 3am Monday 4th April for a 6am flight, 2 hold bags to check in and a very small bag for security, we finally got through at 5:50 and the final call for our flight, total lack of co-ordination, one line for the drop bag machines then a free for all queue, security was even worse. If I had another trip booked from Manchester airport I wouldn’t hesitate to cancel it. Manchester has always been bad for security queues, we last flew in December 2021 and I waited 30 mins just for my coat to be checked and checked again through the X ray machine but never have I seen it so bad. The staff are on the whole trying to do their best but as a passenger of many years Manchester has always been a poor airport to travel from.

Jonathan Heys: I flew from Manchester on Saturday, I arrived 2 hours before departure and was through security in less than 25 minutes.

Nicola Jayne: We flew out this morning... absolute nightmare and staff had to rush us through security to make our flight. If travelling from there I’d give at least 3 hours before your gate closes! Mark Andrews: This is happening at Birmingham, Leeds, Dublin etc. It’s making us look like a joke. Given the training and vetting times for staff, this story will run and run, with Easter upon us it’s going to be a nightmare. This is just the start of a long summer.

●● CONCERNS raised about ‘mountain range’ road (April 1):

Jacqueline Kirkham: Barnfield Street is the same.

Andy Ash: Why Bother, it’s in only in Clayton. Neil Hewson: What about Abbey Street? That’s proper Land Rover territory.
