WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:
LANCASHIRE residents could soon be taxed when visiting Wales (April 18):
David Timson: Why do we not tax the Welsh when they visit England then and the Scots when they visit?
Katie Walton: With the price of petrol and the cost of living going up who would be able to afford to pay tax on top of holiday accommodation and the cost of getting there. Have these people no common sense! It’s not going to tempt tourists to visit and spend money there that’s for sure! Christine Rice: Think Edinburgh planning on hotel charge. I’ve had to pay hotel charge in Athens and Majorca and I wasn’t happy at all. I think very unfair. I’ve never been to Wales but now this I doubt if I’ll ever visit Shirley Southward: How would they police this? It’s not as if you have to show a passport. If this happens I won’t be going there. Jean Rio Alderson: Will it never end
Carl Sanderson: I’ll not be paying it. I’m sure Scotland will be happy for me to spend money in their shops etc.
Adrian Sykes: Well that
will kill the tourist trade. Elaine Hargreaves: We usually holiday in Wales at least once a year but I won’t be going again if they decide to penalise me for it.
David Kidd: Just like everything in London is more expensive than the rest of England, yet that isn’t a Tax?
Steven Hacking: Tax tax tax. The world has gone mad
Barbara Smith: Just won’t be going to Wales anytime soon
Margaret Elizabeth Kirby: I won’t be going. Eddie Beetham: When road milage charges come into force I’ll camp in my own back yard
Heather Marney: Simple don’t go then
David John Wyld: Simple. If they do I won’t be going.
LANCASHIRE people were fined thousands of pounds over lockdown as Prime Minister Boris Johnson is to pay just
£50 (April 13):
Sam Kotero: The people who were fined hundreds or thousands of pounds should demand their money back. I would be absolutely enraged if it were me. There’s no justice.
Jackie Carter Jefferson: No surprise
Martin Gallagher: The country is a joke.
