BERYL CUNNINGHAM

-

MISS Beryl Ann Cunningham, of Swinburne Close, Baxenden, died on Friday, April 8, aged 72.

Beryl was a nurse practitioner in the casualty unit at Accrington Victoria Hospital until retiring. She worked there for most of her career and was deeply supportive of the unit and the care that it provided to the local community.

She loved cats, and is survived by Shadow and Kitty.

She also loved reading; her favourite author was Stephen King, as well as local culture and history, and the Roman history of the area.

Most of all she enjoyed bringing the family together, often hosting Sunday brunch.

She was also a keen gardener.

Partner of the late Roy, she leaves three children, Simon, Karon, and Kim, and four grandchildren, Jack, Harvey, Harrison, and Halle.

The funeral will be held on Friday, April 22, at 10.15am at St Anne’s Church, Accrington, led by Father Ian Kelly, with burial following the service at Accrington Cemetery. Open to flowers.

John will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
