Now it’s time for adults to take to stage

-

A SPECIALIST theatre arts school is holding its first all adults musical with cast members aged 16 and over.

ReAct Academy of Theatre Arts in Church have been staging youth musical productions since 2010 and have an impressive 20 full-scale productions under their belt, including Les Miserables, West Side Story, High School Musical and Into The

Woods. The studio is now holding its very first all adults musical.

Founder and director, Cassandra Webster, said: “We have been running our fantastic adult musical theatre classes each week for several years now and feel it is the right time to go that step further and put on a big show.

“The first few weeks will be spent getting to know our cast and exploring songs from shows which we could potentially license and stage.

“We welcome anyone and everyone to join us.”

The first get together is on Monday at 8.15pm.

ReAct Academy opened two new rehearsal studios last year packed with state of the art equipment at 43b Market Street.

The building also features a 1-2-1 classroom and a cafe.

The group are also staging their second play in June, after the success of ‘A Christmas Carol’ which was staged in December last year.

A group of just six adult actors will be staging Sharif Samad’s play, ‘Pictures of Clay’ which tells the tragic tale of the Pendle Witches.

Tickets for that are on sale now.

ReAct Academy also have a lot of adult dance and fitness classes for anyone looking for a class to join to learn new skills and make new friends, including three tap classes covering all levels and abilities and our EasyFit for those with mobility issues or in need of rehabilitation.
