On a roll

Air Gunner - - Your Letters -

I have just returned to air rifle shooting in the last six months having had a break of over 20 years. What a superb time I’m having. I shoot mainly on the ranges, but recently I’ve been invited to shoot targets on a friend’s private land. When I started going to the ranges, I was a bit apprehensive with regard to how bad a shot I was going to be, and what the others would make of this old coffin dodger. I did not need to worry. Everyone was very helpful to the point that they gave me advice and asked me to use their guns to try them out to see what I thought of them. They all seemed very proud of their guns. I can now say that after the advice and encouragement, my shooting has improved. Every time I go I meet different shooters and everyone is really friendly. I hasten to add that the ranges are open to the public, not private clubs. By way of giving something back, I have included a picture of the gun rest I use. It works well for me and I have made some for the guys on the range, where they seem well received. How about that for an inventive gun rest?
